AyeAyeAye Mommies! If you know like I know, those 2-4 pm hours can be an energy buzzKILL! In my house, that's when the kids tend to be waking from naptime. Cranky, hungry and on edge. After getting them down for naps, cleaning the house, preparing lunch, and squeezing in some crafting/writing/concocting I am ALWAYS tired!
Alas my dear sisters...I have found a remedy!! One that works WONDERS for me atleast.

ENERGIZED doesnt even begin to describe it! Invigorated, renewed, enlivened...might cut it a lil bit closer! I feel wonderful! I finally kept my word to myself and 'squoze' in a quick 30 minute Zumba session in the middle of my day! OOOOH Chile! I have the energy to tackle the rest of the day now! My blood is pumping, heartrate is up, stress is down! Science has shown how a good dose of exercise reduces stress hormones and increases the 'feel good' ones. Plus you know we gotta keep it all intact ladies! 30 minutes a day..or every other day, is not much to ask. Your body will thank you forever! To stay hydrated and increase my energy supply even further, I brewed up a sweet cup of energizing Chia iced tea. I'll include the recipe below.  My 2 year old is looking like "where's my mama" because I'm outrunning him... I feel SO good! I'm thinking I may wake up extra early...and get a session in to start the day! If you're looking for a FUN workout that doesn't feel like working out, Zumba is it!

Energizing Chia Iced Tea

-1 T Chia seeds (soak in water for 10 minutes to make chia "pudding")
-1 Green or Black Tea
-3 tsp agave nectar or honey
-ice
Instructions:
Brew tea as you normally would, add chia pudding (its completely tasteless, energizing and nutrient packed), and sweetner. Stir til sweet...add more if you like. I'd strongly advise against using white/table sugar as it drains energy and nutrients from your body. Add ice and swirl around til it's cool...you know how to do it :).... Add a squeeze of lemon, lime or orange if you like and ENJOY!
Peace and More LIFE!
